About
About Metal Roofing Boise
Metal Roofing Boise is a metal roofing specialist serving Boise and the Treasure Valley. We handle standing seam and exposed-fastener installation, repair, and replacement — steel, aluminum, and copper/zinc systems — along with commercial metal roofing, barn and shop panels, snow guard installation, and recoat/restoration work, all focused specifically on metal roofing.
What we build to
A metal roof looks simple from the street and most of what determines whether it lasts is the fastening system and the details nobody sees once it's installed. We fasten and seal to manufacturer spec — floating clips on standing seam, correctly torqued neoprene-washer screws on exposed-fastener — rather than a builder-grade minimum, and we pull the reroofing permit as part of the job rather than leaving it to you. See Boise's metal reroofing permit and snow load requirements.
Why this climate matters
The Treasure Valley sees a real, seasonal hail corridor — Pacific moisture colliding with the terrain around the valley produces severe thunderstorm cells from May through August, peaking in June and July. For metal specifically, that hail dents panels rather than stripping granules, mostly cosmetic on a properly spec'd panel but a real consideration on a lighter gauge. See does hail actually damage a metal roof.
The other half is thermal cycling: summer highs over 100°F against hard winter freezes, one of the wider annual swings in the Pacific Northwest. That cycling fatigues through-fastened screws on an exposed-fastener panel system specifically — the real mechanism behind most fastener-backout service calls — which is exactly what standing seam's floating-clip design is engineered to avoid. See standing seam vs. exposed-fastener.
How we price
We publish cost ranges rather than making you call to find out whether you can afford us — the 2026 cost guide lays out per-square pricing by panel system, and the cost calculator works from your own roof size. Estimates are free and on-site, and you get a written per-square price with tear-off and any deck repair broken out as separate lines so you can compare it honestly against anyone else's bid.
If a repair is the better spend than a full replacement, we say so on the estimate visit — including when that means the smaller job for us.
What we will not do
We will not roof over a deck we have not inspected, we will not offer to waive your insurance deductible — that is fraud, not a discount, per Idaho Department of Insurance guidance — and we will not tell you a roof needs replacing when a repair would do. We also will not publish reviews we have not received or credentials we do not hold — if you do not see star ratings on this site, that is deliberate.
